Maria Luisk began studying flute at the age of eight at Nõmme Music School. She continued her studies at the Lucerne School of Music (under Prof. Pirmin Grehl) and Yale University in the United States (under Prof. Ransom Wilson), where she obtained her master’s degree. Maria has played in various orchestras, including the Bern Symphony Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, among others. She has also been a longstanding member of the Estonian National Opera and the Estonian Festival Orchestra. In addition to her orchestral engagements, Maria is highly regarded as a chamber music collaborator and flute teacher.
